Park Improvements

DiDonato Associates provided design services for the second phase of proposed improvements to Fetto Park in the Town of Amherst.  Fetto Park is a “pocket park” located on the east side of Harlem Road between Main Street and Sheridan Drive.  It is 2.8 acres of primarily open space with trees and brush.  The only structure present in the park was an entrance wall surrounded by landscaping and stamped concrete.

Phase II improvements included the construction of a concrete walkway connecting the existing park entrance on Harlem road to Nesper Drive, a concrete plaza, a pre-engineered gazebo structure and concrete pad, an asphalt parking area, site lighting, electrical service, grading, drainage, and restoration work.  Additional work included furnishing and installing benches and trash receptacles with concrete pads; furnishing and installing a rock fountain water feature, including the water service, backflow preventer, yard hydrants and appurtenances; and furnishing and installing proposed landscaping.
